Atraumatic Extraction — LC syndesmotomy tips widen the PDL space without rotational force, preserving the 4 bony walls for immediate or early implant placement. Flapless and sutureless protocols possible.
Lateral Sinus Lift — Diamond-coated SL tips deliver a thin, effortless window cut with minimal risk of sinus membrane perforation or antral artery damage. Cavitation spray provides haemostatic effect and clear visibility throughout.
Crestal Sinus Lift (Intralift™) — TKW tip sequence enables fully non-invasive crestal access: pilot drilling, floor fracture, canal widening, and membrane elevation — all without a lateral window.

Getting the most from your Piezotome® CUBE

Practical guidance from clinical experience and ACTEON® applications support.

Trust D.P.S.I. — avoid manual power overrides. The system continuously monitors pressure applied, tip design, and bone density, automatically boosting cutting power up to +30% against dense cortical bone and reducing output by −10% near soft tissue. Manually pushing beyond the D.P.S.I. recommendation — particularly during sinus floor osteotomy — increases perforation risk and thermal load.

Follow the correct tip sequence for each procedure. For extractions, start with LC1 or LC2 for syndesmotomy before progressing to wider tips. For Intralift™, follow the TKW sequence (TKW1 → TKW2 → TKW3 → TKW4 → TKW5) — each tip is calibrated to a specific diameter and function. Skipping steps increases membrane risk and reduces the predictability of crestal elevation.

Maintain consistent irrigation flow throughout every case. The peristaltic pump delivers saline directly to the tip end regardless of handpiece orientation. Verify irrigation line seating before each procedure — the external line design allows immediate visual confirmation during surgery. Interrupted flow is the primary cause of localised bone heating and impaired healing.

Leverage the LED ring in posterior and confined access sites. The full white ring at 100,000 Lux eliminates shadow zones in narrow surgical fields — second molar sites, posterior sinus windows, and periradicular areas. Orient the handpiece so the LED ring faces the area of interest, and use the rotation-free grip to maintain that position without tiring the wrist.

Torque tips correctly before every case using the dynamometric wrench. The included stainless steel wrench ensures each tip is seated to the correct torque. Under-torqued tips generate micro-vibration loss and reduce cutting efficiency; over-torqued tips damage the handpiece thread. Inspect tip surfaces for wear — surface treatments extend lifespan, but tips showing visible deformation or blunting must be replaced.
