JustStop® · Haemostatic Dressing

JustStop®
Haemostatic Gauze

A plant-derived Oxidised Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) haemostatic gauze that stops dental bleeding within 10–12 seconds. On contact with blood, it transforms into a protective gel that forms an oxygen barrier to effectively relieve post-operative pain. Engineered for uncompromised clinical predictability, JustStop® is highly effective for medically complex patients on anti-coagulation therapy, sealing capillary ends and activating the clotting cascade without requiring aggressive suturing or prolonged socket pressure.

Why JustStop®

Fast, safe, and easy to use

A haemostatic dressing designed specifically for dental use — effective, biocompatible, and ready to apply straight from the sterile pack with no preparation required.

Rapid Haemostasis

Stops bleeding within 10–12 seconds. On contact with blood or exudate, the ORC gauze converts to a viscous gel that fills wound voids and seals capillary ends.

Bacteriostatic

Helps prevent infection and promotes wound healing. pH neutral (6.4), non-exothermic, and comfortable for the patient throughout application.

Biocompatible & Safe

No cytotoxicity, sensitisation, or irritation of skin. Plant-derived ORC material — safe for use across all patient types including those under anti-coagulation treatment.

Sterile & Ready to Use

Individually blister-packed in sterile compartments — easy to access and apply at chairside with no preparation or training required.

Clean Removal

Can be removed painlessly and without interrupting the wound site or causing re-bleed. Excess gel can be rinsed away with water.

Medically Complex Care

Delivers predictable, rapid haemostasis for patients on advanced anti-coagulation therapy. Effectively minimises surgical downtime and eliminates the need for aggressive local measures.

Indications

When to use JustStop®

Suitable for all dental procedures requiring rapid haemostasis — from routine extractions to surgical and periodontal cases.

Extraction Sites — Place directly into the socket or over the bleeding site immediately after extraction. Highly conformable to socket geometry; excess gauze can be trimmed and removed easily.
Periodontal Surgery — Applied to surgical sites post-debridement or resection to control bleeding and support initial wound closure, while the bacteriostatic properties assist healing.
Oral Surgery — Suitable for implant surgery, ridge augmentation, and other oral surgical procedures requiring intraoral haemostatic management.
Biopsy Sites — The gel-forming action provides a conformable barrier that seals the biopsy wound surface without requiring sutures in minor soft-tissue biopsies.
Dental Trauma — Fast-acting haemostasis in acute trauma presentations where speed of application is critical and patient cooperation may be limited.
Anticoagulated Patients — Effective under anti-coagulation treatments, reducing the need for procedure rescheduling and supporting safe same-day management for medically complex patients.
JustStop haemostatic gauze forming gel on contact with fluid

On contact with blood or exudate, JustStop® rapidly converts to a viscous gel — filling wound voids, sealing capillary ends, and forming an oxygen barrier over the extraction socket to significantly relieve patient pain while accelerating the natural clotting cascade.

Clinical Tips

Getting the most from JustStop®

Practical guidance for effective chairside haemostatic management.

1
Apply directly to the bleeding site — no pre-wetting required. Remove the dressing from the blister and place it directly over the extraction socket, wound void, or bleeding surface. The ORC gauze activates on contact with blood or saliva and begins forming a haemostatic gel within seconds. No mixing, soaking, or preparation is needed.
2
Pack into wound voids for extraction sites. The dressing is highly conformable — it can be placed over a flat bleeding surface or packed gently into an extraction socket. Trim excess gauze with scissors before placement if needed. The gel will conform to the shape of the socket as haemostasis progresses.
3
Remove gently without disturbing the clot. When removal is required, lift the dressing away gently — it is designed to release from the wound site without causing re-bleed or interrupting clot formation. Any residual gel can be rinsed away with water.
4
Use as a first-line option for anticoagulated patients. JustStop® is effective under anti-coagulation treatment, which makes it a practical choice for patients on warfarin, NOACs, or antiplatelet agents where prolonged pressure or additional haemostatic measures are otherwise needed. Confirm local clinical protocols for medically complex patients.
5
Consider for paediatric extractions where pressure compliance is difficult. The gel-forming action works without sustained patient pressure — clinically validated feedback indicates JustStop® is a useful adjunct in paediatric extractions where maintaining gauze pressure is challenging for young patients.

Do not use if packaging is damaged or sterility is compromised. For severe or uncontrolled bleeding, refer to appropriate medical management.
