Highlights

Built for precision and comfort in implant surgery

Three design features that define the Ki-20 system — combining high-performance optics, ergonomic handling, and programmable control.

Krafit Ki-MTO optic micromotor with LED optic function for improved surgical visibility

Powerful Optic Micro Motor

Ki-MTO
— Optic motor for high-visibility surgery

The Ki-MTO micromotor is equipped with a powerful optic function that helps improve the accuracy of operation with high visibility. The optic LED illuminates the surgical field directly through the handpiece, reducing shadows and improving drill tip visibility at the osteotomy site.

Krafit Ki-AG20L optic handpiece — ergonomic angle shape with efficient coolant spray for left and right hand use

Ergonomic Angle Shape

Right and left-handed
— Optimal for every operator

Efficient cooling provides high cooling performance without disturbing visibility. The handpiece is available in right-handed and left-handed types, so the treatment can be performed under optimal conditions regardless of operator preference. The 20:1 gear ratio delivers a maximum of 80 Ncm torque at the drill tip.

Krafit Ki-20 control unit — large LCD display with 9 memory program storage and torque control

9 Memory Programs

Programmable control
— Large LCD display

Up to 9 memory programs can be stored on a single motor, allowing commonly used drilling protocols to be recalled instantly at the start of each procedure. The large LCD display provides clear, real-time readout of speed, torque, and mode settings throughout the surgery.

Operating Tips

Getting the most from the Ki-20

Practical guidance for setup and daily use of the Ki-20 implant motor system.

1
Store your drilling protocols in the 9 memory programs before surgery. The Ki-20 can store up to 9 complete programs — each with its own speed, torque, and direction settings. Configuring these before the procedure starts saves time during surgery and reduces the risk of manually entering incorrect settings at a critical step.
2
Select the correct handpiece orientation for your dominant hand. The KI-AG20L optic handpiece is supplied in right-handed and left-handed versions. Confirm the correct orientation for your grip before the procedure — the ergonomic angle is designed to maintain optimal visibility of the drill tip, and this advantage is reduced if the handpiece orientation does not match the operator's hand.
3
Use continuous irrigation during all drilling steps. The handpiece is equipped with internal coolant delivery. Ensure the irrigation tube is correctly connected and the coolant flow is confirmed before beginning the osteotomy sequence. Inadequate irrigation during drilling at 1,200 rpm or above generates heat at the bone interface and risks thermal necrosis.
4
Check torque limits before cortical tap and fixture placement. The Ki-20 allows torque limits to be set per memory program. For cortical tap use (50 rpm / 50 Ncm) and fixture placement protocols, confirm the correct torque ceiling is set in the active program before proceeding. This prevents over-torquing at fixture seating and protects the bone-implant interface.
5
Follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule for the micromotor and handpiece. The Ki-MTO micromotor requires periodic lubrication and inspection per the manufacturer's guidelines. The KI-AG20L handpiece should be cleaned, lubricated, and autoclaved according to the product Instructions for Use after each patient procedure. Regular maintenance protects the optic LED function and extends the operational life of the handpiece.
⚠ Operating Notice: The Krafit Ki-20 is a medical-grade implant motor system intended for use by trained dental surgeons and implantologists. Use only with compatible Krafit handpieces and accessories. Do not operate without confirmed coolant flow during drilling. The optic handpiece (KI-AG20L) must be autoclaved before and after each patient use in accordance with the manufacturer's sterilisation instructions. Follow AS/NZS infection control guidelines. Refer to the product Instructions for Use for full operating instructions, contraindications, and maintenance requirements.
