Bone disk shields the membrane

The S-Reamer's specially designed blade structure does not tear the sinus membrane even in direct contact. During drilling, bone chips fill the reamer head space and form a flat bone disk surface between the reamer and the membrane — providing an additional protective layer. This makes the SCA Kit safe to use in misaligned and septum cases where membrane contact risk is highest.

High-speed drilling of the S-Reamer at 800–1,200 RPM (with saline irrigation) enables safe and rapid perforation of the sinus inferior cortical wall without membrane damage. The 'S'-shaped blade design allows the reamer to cut the bone effectively at speed, removing the need for the slow, physically demanding mallet-and-osteotome technique and shortening the operative time significantly.

The SCA Kit provides a much easier and less technique-sensitive approach to sinus crestal elevation. Each component is purpose-designed for a specific step in the procedure sequence, the stopper system controls drilling depth in 1mm increments, and the kit uses a general rotary drilling method that any trained implant surgeon can perform without specialised mallet training.
Step-by-step procedure sequence
From initial osteotomy preparation through to final implant placement — each SCA Kit component performs a defined role in the crestal elevation sequence.

Initial Drill & Widening
Drill to 1mm shorter than residual bone height. Widen to final diameter based
on bone density. Do not reach within 1mm of the sinus membrane.

S-Reamer
Drill remaining bone to the sinus inferior cortical wall. Gently perforate the
cortical floor until opening is detected. Speed: 1,200 rpm with irrigation.
Depth Gauge
Confirm complete sinus floor opening by hanging gauge tip in the sinus wall.
Feel membrane with the flat end. Do not insert more than 1mm into sinus.

Bone Carrier
Insert bone graft into the osteotome site using the bone carrier (0.05cc per
insertion). Approximately 0.1cc of bone is needed to lift the membrane 1mm.

Bone Condenser
Push graft material to the sinus floor. Use the wide end for fine particulates
and the narrow end for coarse particulates.
Bone Inserter
Alternative method to push graft into sinus using the spiral bone inserter.
Connect stopper (residual alveolar bone height) and rotate at 80 rpm.

Bone Spreader
Spread bone laterally to reduce tension against the membrane. Connect stopper
and rotate at 50–80 rpm. Repeat after every 0.1cc of bone insertion.
Final Drill & Implantation
Freshen up the channel with a larger drill to remove excess graft material.
Place implant and obtain CMI fixation from the sinus inferior cortical wall.
