1. Driver

Used to tighten an abutment or abutment screw. Each driver type is supplied in both 10mm (short) and 15mm (long) versions.

2. Driver Holder  DH01

Connects to various prosthetic drivers to allow easy intraoral handling of healing cover screws and abutment screws. Features a swivel hole for added maneuverability and a hex driver end for direct use.

3. Torque Ratchet  TW60

Tightens the hex driver and measures torque. By changing the direction of the tip, tightening and loosening can be controlled independently.

Getting the most from the Universal Prosthetic Kit

Practical guidance for chairside prosthetic procedures using the Universal Prosthetic Kit.

Confirm driver compatibility before each case. Select the driver type that matches the implant system being restored. Use the compatibility list as a reference if there is any uncertainty. Using an incorrect driver size risks stripping the abutment screw head, which can make screw removal difficult or impossible without specialist intervention.

Use the 10mm (short) driver for posterior access. The 15mm long driver provides better torque transmission when used with the Torque Ratchet. In posterior sites with limited vertical access, the 10mm driver reduces the risk of the driver disengaging mid-tightening. For most anterior abutment tightening, the 15mm driver combined with the Driver Holder gives the best control.

Use the Driver Holder for all intraoral cover screw and healing abutment work. The Driver Holder connects to any driver in the kit and allows precise intraoral manipulation of cover screws and healing abutments without dropping. The swivel hole allows the angle to be adjusted for difficult access sites, which is particularly useful in second-stage surgery where visibility is limited by soft tissue.

Apply final torque with the Torque Ratchet — not finger pressure alone. The Torque Ratchet (TW60) allows the direction of tightening and loosening to be selected independently by changing the tip direction. Always use the ratchet for final abutment screw torque. The scale provides a reference for confirming correct torque delivery, reducing the risk of under-tightening (screw loosening in function) or over-tightening (screw fracture).

Sterilise the full kit before and after each patient procedure. All instruments in the Universal Prosthetic Kit are non-sterile medical devices and must be sterilised by autoclave before use and after each procedure. Recommended autoclave conditions: Pre-Vacuum 132°C / 2 bar / 3 min exposure / 30 min dry, or Gravity 132°C / 1 bar / 40 min exposure / 30 min dry. After use, detach each component, wash promptly, dry thoroughly, and store at room temperature away from soiled areas before re-sterilising.
