SD-TQ
Universal Torque Wrench

The SD-TQ is a universal torque wrench for fixing and separating upper implant structures, offering guaranteed tightening precision whatever the type of implant connection or difficulty of access. Its angular head design reaches the molar area where conventional wrenches cannot, with a selectable torque range of 5–35 N/cm and an audible click when the set value is met.

Torque Range 5–35 N/cm Autoclave Compatible Short & Long 1.2mm Drivers Included
Indications

When to use the SD-TQ

The SD-TQ is designed for prosthetic tightening and loosening across any implant connection type, including hard-to-access posterior sites.

Prosthetic Screw Tightening — Fixing upper structures to implants with precise, repeatable torque at the set value.
Prosthetic Screw Loosening — Safely separating and removing upper structures during recall, maintenance, or prosthetic revision appointments.
Molar & Posterior Access — Angular head design reaches the molar area that is difficult or impossible to access with a conventional straight wrench.
Universal Implant Compatibility — Suitable for use with any implant connection type, regardless of system or platform.
Features

Designed for precise, safe prosthetic finishing

Every detail of the SD-TQ is built to support reliable, repeatable tightening — whether in an open anterior site or a confined posterior access.

SD-TQ installation — latch key and driver insertion
Installation

Turn the handle clockwise or counterclockwise to tighten or loosen the screw. The wrench sounds "clack" when the set torque value is met — confirming correct, consistent tightening every time.

SD-TQ autoclave — head separates from body for sterilization
Autoclave OK

The head can be fully separated from the body for sterilization — supporting standard autoclave protocols without the need for separate disposable components.

SD-TQ torque selector knob 5 to 35 N/cm
Torque Selector

Easy torque setting across a 5–35 N/cm range. Rotate the selector at the base of the body to the required value before tightening — no additional tools required.

SD-TQ oil hole for handpiece lubrication
Oil Hole

Inject handpiece oil into the hole on the bottom of the body before and after each use to maintain mechanism performance and extend the service life of the wrench.

Operating Tips

Getting the most from the SD-TQ

Practical guidance for consistent tightening and proper maintenance.

1
Set the torque selector before placing the driver. Rotate the selector at the base of the wrench to the required value (5–35 N/cm) before engaging the driver with the screw. Setting the torque after the driver is in position risks an accidental partial turn.
2
Install the driver correctly before use. Turn the latch key to the right, insert the 1.2mm driver into the hole, then return the latch key to lock. Confirm the driver is seated securely before beginning tightening — a loose driver reduces torque accuracy and risks cam-out damage to the screw head.
3
Stop turning immediately when you hear the "clack". The audible click confirms the set torque value has been reached. Continuing to turn after the click bypasses the torque-limiting mechanism and risks overtightening the prosthetic screw.
4
Use the Long driver for molar and posterior sites. The Short driver (23.5mm) is suited to anterior and premolar positions with good access. The Long driver (30mm) gives the additional reach needed for posterior molar sites where the wrench body must clear adjacent dentition.
5
Oil the wrench before and after every use. Inject handpiece oil into the oil hole on the bottom of the body before and after each use. Regular lubrication maintains the internal mechanism, prevents premature wear, and ensures the torque selector remains accurate over time.
⚠ Operating Notice: The SD-TQ is a prosthetic torque wrench intended for use by trained dental professionals. Do not exceed the set torque value — overtightening may fracture the prosthetic screw. Autoclave only the head component; refer to the manufacturer's sterilization instructions for the body. Refer to the Instructions for Use for full handling, maintenance, and safety information.
